Claire sits under a tree near the lake behind her cottage. She's got a lantern and her phone with her. She's listening to music, and is crying a little bit. A breeze is felt near her. Normally it would be due to the lake, but this is different.
"You can reveal yourself, Roxy."
Roxy manifests next to Claire. She's wearing a gray hoodie and black jeans.
"You doing okay?" Roxy asks, stuffing her hands in her pockets.
"I'm fine, thank you for asking," Claire looks down at her hands, which are shaking very slightly.
"You're scared," Roxy says, leaning back on the tree, "I know that feeling anywhere." She scratches the back of her head. "I'm scared too. World's ending. I think we're all scared."
"I'm scared for her too, Roxy," Claire looks up to the corruptelam, a tear running down her face, "For Harmonia. What if... what if something happens to me? I won't be able to protect her..." She looks down, only to see her hands shaking more than before and her skirt wet with tears.
"Hey," Roxy crouches down to Claire, her eyes glowing purple, "It's gonna be okay, Claire. I promise." She puts her hand on Claire's shoulder. "I won't let anything happen to either of you, okay?" Claire throws her arms around Roxy and breaks down sobbing.
O-kay, guess we're doing this now.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay," she pats Claire's back, "Don't worry. We're not gonna let this world end that easily." Claire tries to speak, but it all comes out scrambled and pretty much impossible to understand. She's really emotional right now.
Siiiigh.
"There there, it's gonna be okay." Roxy's enjoying the hug. It's the most affection she's gotten in months, even if she's not on the receiving end, and it's only because Claire needs someone to hold onto for now. It's like she's hugging an old friend. Claire lets go of the hug.
"Th..thank you, Roxy.. I um... I needed that," she says, looking back at the lake. Roxy stands back up, and leans against the tree again.
"No prob." Roxy looks down at her phone. Jeez, would ya look at the time. "Jeez, would ya look at the time, I gotta go, Claire. I'll see you around." And with that, she vanishes.
