Spider and Kade step out into Mischief's flowerful front yard. Her cabin and its flower covered roof sits directly in front of them. On its doorstep is a small deer girl, about 5'2 with a small, slender frame. Her fur is light brown and she is wearing a brown almost vintage-looking dress. She's shaking and crying, curled into a ball and she has some fur grown out on her head like hair. It's straight and goes down to her collarbone but is currently a mess because she's sobbing! Good luck!
Mischief is watching from a window. She gives a thumbs up to Spider and Kade, as if for good luck.
Spider sighs and shifts, the large black wolf pads over to the deer girl and nudges her arm with its nose while wagging her tail.
Kade watches Spider with a hum but follows along toward the girl, carefully.
The deer girl looks up and sees Spider, screaming and scrambling away. "DON'T EAT ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE-"
Spider wuffs softly and sits down flicking an ear at Melody.
Kade flinches a little, but recovers and gets a little closer. "Hey hey! No need to be scared, such a fluffy sweetheart would never do such a thing!"
Cole Garnet appears. He appears in his wrath form, but with a loud burst of static, he reverts to his human form. Enoch speaks into Cole's mind. "Thank me later."
Spider glares at Kade.
He gives Spider a look that reads: 'I'M TRYING'
Cole glances at his hands and breathes a sigh of relief.
The girl looks between Spider and Kade, trembling. "B-but its a wolf- wolves eat people- why am I fluffy why am I fluffy-"
Cole slowly walks over to them with neutral body language “Hey, take a deep breath real quick."
Spider lets out a huff of amusement at the "eating people" comment.
The girl moves away more. "WHAT’S HAPPENINGGG-”
Cole stops where he is and sighs. "Listen, I know this is scary but you’re kinda in hell and we are just trying to help you out.”
Kade motions for everyone to keep a little distance. And mutters a small: “You gotta put it more gently than that..."
"HELL?!?!??!? I- I THOUGHT I WAS GOOD I- I- PLEASE DON'T HURT ME PLEASE I CAN BE BETTER-" She sobs harder
Kade glances at Cole with a look of disappointment.
Cole just shrugs.
Mischief sighs and mouths "THIS IS WHY THE BIBLE SUCKS ASS!!" to Cole.
Cole nods in agreement. “Hell isn't all bad.”
Spider sighs and then flicks her ears, wuffing softly at Melody.
"No, no, settle down first. Breathe, first. In and out, forget everything about that and tell us about yourself a little." Kade says.
The deer girl tries to take a shaky breath in. "I'm scared I'm scared- WHY DO I FEEL LIKE A DEER-"
Spider stands up taking a careful step forwards toward Melody, tail wagging.
"Close your eyes, and start breathing in and out. If you feel comfortable enough, of course! All of us want to help you, we're here for your comfort.” Kade says.
Melody moves away from them more, eyes flicking between Spider and the rest. She takes a deep breath, then another, still watching them.
"That's good, in and out. Counting helps as well if it suits your fancy." Kade says.
Cole is clearly thinking about something, cause he is just staring at a wall, and then Melody.
Melody watches them, shaking and still taking deep breaths.
Spider takes another step forward, tail still wagging, she grins at Melody trying to look friendly.
Melody freaks out and backs away more.
“Spider I don't think being a wolf is helping at all right now,” Cole says.
Spider sighs and shifts back, taking a minute to stretch. She's not wearing her jacket right now, so Melody would be able to see the scars on her arms. "Weird, it usually helps.”
Cole facepalms.
"AAA-” Melody screams.
Cole takes a deep breath. “Can you please take a deep breath and just try and tell me your name right now?"
"Settle down, settle down! Breathing is good yes, deep breaths nice and steady!" Kade says.
"M-melody-"
“Nice name.” Spider says.
“Thank you, that's progress.” Cole pretends to type on a keyboard.
Melody tries taking more deep breaths, watching Spider wearily.
"A wonderful name! Very pretty." Kade says. "How long have you been here for? If you don't mind us asking."
"I-I dunno- n-not long?" Melody says.
Cole's eyes dart around Melody as he pretends to type on a keyboard.
She looks at Cole fearfully. "W-what are you doing-"
"Just writing some notes,” Cole says.
Kade mutters a small "ohmygod" under his breath.
Cole looks at Kade and mutters "shut the fuck up" under his breath.
"N-notes?" Melody asks.
“Just so I can help you better, nothing mean or creepy don't worry,” Cole says.
Kade stares right back, looking more than a little frustrated. "You'rebadatthis." Before he breathes in and looks at Melody once more, clasping his hands together. "Yes, we're all here to try and help you. None of us have any ill intentions, but, how are you feeling?"
"S-scared- and- scared-" Melody says.
“Ok.. anyway we can help you?" Spider asks.
"Mhm. What's scaring you?" Kade asks.
Cole snaps and Melody feels slight pressure on the left side of their head.
"She just turned into a wolf and I'm all furry and I got-" Melody holds her head.
"Hm? Something wrong?" Kade asks.
Cole pretends to type on a keyboard.
"M-my head feels weird.." Melody holds it, looking at Cole in confusion
"Weird.. How?" Kade glances at Cole.
Cole just shrugs.
"J-just... a little pressure..." Melody’s still shaking.
“Pressure?" Spider shoots Cole a look.
Cole just shrugs again.
Kade’s staring. Then looks at Melody once more. "I'm sure it's fine. What were you saying?"
Melody seems to stop crying and rubs her eyes. "I feel better..." She smiles nervously.
"Good, good.” Cole says.
Kade’s staring again.
Cole stares back.
Melody stands up. "U-um- what're your names?"
Cole puts a hand on his chest and smiles warmly. "I'm Cole.”
Kade looks back at her. "I'm Kade, nice to meet you."
“Spider,” Says Spider.
“Wow, what an intro," Cole says.
"I like your names-" Melody says a tad nervously, rubbing her eyes. "S-so where am I?"
Spider flips Cole off.
Cole shrugs.
"Right now, you're in a wonderful flower garden, yes?" Kade says.
Melody nods and walks towards them a little. "I've never seen so many flowers…” Melody points at a couple, naming them to the others.
"Great! They're all so pretty, right? Absolutely flourishing here. What a sight you have, too!" Kade says.
Most of them are forget-me-nots and all of them look edible as fuck but are also normal flowers trust me.
"M-my papa gave me a book about different herbs and flowers- I memorized them..." Melody says.
“So you must know a lot about flowers?" Cole asks.
Melody nods. "P-papa made sure I knew what the plants were so I didn't touch or eat bad ones-"
“Smart man,” Says Spider.
"Where is Papa?" Melody asks.
"..What do you remember about your papa?" Kade asks.
"He's tall and has curly brown hair and blue eyes and he's good at hunting and building but he likes art! Sometimes he goes away to go get stuff and I miss him but he always brings home gifts!" Melody says.
"He sounds very nice! A very humble man indeed." Kade says.
"U-Um... I’m dead... aren’t I..." Melody seems nervous but not necessarily too upset.
"What makes you believe so?" Kade asks.
Cole is still occasionally pretending to type on a keyboard.
"Um... I dunno! This place is just so pretty it may as well be heaven!" Melody smiles, her voice has a slight southern accent.
"Trust me, you don't wanna go there.” Spider mutters under her breath.
Melody looks confused. "Huh? It's heaven, of course, I want to go there!"
Kade smiles back, although wearily. "It's best to consider this heaven. Very beautiful, comfortable, and not a hint of malice nor ill will in sight. Do you like it here?"
"I like you guys!!!" Melody exclaims.
Mischief is rummaging around in her kitchen and this is visible through the window.
"..How come?" Kade asks.
"You're super nice!! I don't meet new people like ever. This feels like a storybook!!!" Melody exclaims.
Cole smiles as he continues to type on his pretend keyboard. “Thank you.”
"This reminds me of The Wizard of Oz!!! Am I in Oz??" Melody asks.
Mischief knocks on her window and points at Cole.
Cole looks at the window and stops typing.
Mischief gestures for him to come over.
Cole walks over to the window.
"You can consider it like that!" Kade exclaims. "Do you have a favorite character in the story?"
"The Cowardly Lion!!! He's so silly I love him!!" Melody exclaims.
Mischief opens up the window. "Snacks." She hands Cole a bag of Doritos and a bottle of water. She then closes the window.
Cole takes them, walks over to Melody, and offers them a snack. “Do you want some snacks?"
Melody looks at it in confusion. "What's that? What's the water in?"
"It's in a bottle, do you not know what a bottle is?" Cole asks.
Melody looks it over. "It's clear like glass but not glass??? What is it???" It crackles and her eyes light up. "IT MAKES A FUNNY NOISE-”
"It's a plastic bottle!" Kade exclaims.
"Whats plastic?" Melody asks.
"It's like glass, but soft!" Kade exclaims.

"Oh my fucking god,” Kade says.
Melody stares at Cole in confusion but looks to Kade. “Soft... glass." She opens it and DOWNS the water. "What's this?" She gestures to the Doritos.
“Flavored tortilla chips,” Cole says.
“Out of curiosity, what year was it for you?" Spider asks.
"Yes! Quite like flavored potatoes, but fried and hard." Kade explains.
"2022!" Melody says to Spider. "Weird. Sounds good!" She opens it and eats one, her face contorting. "..."
"..Don't like it?" Kade asks.
"Something wrong?" Cole asks.
"Why is it spiiicyyyy-” Melody whines.
Mischief knocks on the window and gestures Cole over again.
Cole walks over to the window.
"Drink some water, it helps!" Kade exclaims.
She drinks some water!
Mischief opens the window, whispering to Cole. "I didn't realize this girl had the taste buds of a victorian grandmother." She hands Cole a loaf of fresh bread and a banana. She then closes the window. It's the entire loaf of bread.
Cole bursts out laughing and takes the banana and bread.
Melody tilts her head.
Cole walks over to Melody while giggling and hands them the banana and bread.
"Just hand the spicy bag over, no need to keep it," Kade says.
"Okie," She hands it to Cole and takes the banana and bread, eyes lighting up.
"A banana!! I love these!!" She holds the bread and peels the banana, eating it happily.
Cole walks over to Kade and giggles while trying to put it in his pocket.
"Whatcha laughing over?" Kade asks. "And good! bananas are a good fruit."
Cole is trying to put the spicy bag in Kade's pocket.
Kade stands and watches.
"My papa would get them sometimes!!! When he’d go out for a bit," Melody explains.
"Ah... Is it alright to ask how old you are?" Kade asks.
"18!"
Cole just stuffs it in halfway and stops giggling as he looks over at Melody. “Would you like a flower?"
"Yes!!"
"That's a good age!" Kade exclaims.
Cole reaches into his jacket and snaps as a poppy appears inside of his jacket and he pulls the poppy out of his jacket and offers it to Melody.
She giggles and takes it. "This is such a pretty poppy!"
"It's my favorite flower.” Cole smiles.
"It's a good flower!! Did you know its properties make people sleepy!"
"I did not know that,” Cole says.
"Nor did I!" Kade says.
“Opium? That's only found in a certain kind of poppy.” Spider says.
"Yep! California poppies!" Melody explains.
“Good to know,” Cole says.
"But like it's not enough to make someone fall asleep by smelling one or anything!" Melody explains.
“Mhm, I would figure that,” Cole says.
"Hehe, I feel like a book character-"
Cole checks his wrist like it's a watch and sighs. “It's getting rather late"
"Where do we go now!" Melody asks.
It's 8:46 but the sky seems like it's stuck setting.
Cole looks to Kade and mutters under his breath. "Do we take them back to the house or?"
Spider shakes her head.
Kade gives a small shrug and whispers back. "It isn't my place to speak on such."
"I mean I feel like we kinda have to take them out of here,” Cole whispers.
“No, we don't? Mischief is nice enough and they like it here.” Spider mutters quietly so only Cole and Kade could hear.
Melody is eating.
"I mean like I feel like it would disappoint them if we didn't,” Cole says.
Kade just glances between them.
“Just say we'll visit em.” Spider mutters.
"Listen, I kinda chipped them so we might want to get out of here before something bad happens,” Cole explains.
"What the fuck do you mean?” Kade asks.
“You can beat my fucking ass later and i can explain later when I don't have to whisper so let's just get them out of here,” Cole says.
Spider sighs before muttering, "Give me strength..."
"You better explain as soon as we are fucking out of here. You should ask them for permission." Kade motions to the window.
Cole walks over to the window and taps on it.
Mischief opens the window. "Yeeeees?"
“Can we take them back to the house pretty please?" Cole looks at Mischief with the eyes of "I have fucked up please say yes.”
"Oh yeah, sure you guys are trustworthy! ..But alsooo..." Mischief produces two Envy keys and hands them to Cole. "Make sure she gets one of these. The other is for you."
“Alright.” Cole takes the keys and puts one in his pocket as he walks over to Melody. He offers her the Envy key. “Here you go.”
Melody’s eyes widen. "This is so cool!! Thank you!!" Melody places it in her pocket. "So where are we going?"
Kade seems to be steadying himself! Tapping his foot against the ground.
Spider looks over at him. "You ok?"
Cole takes a deep breath. “It's a surprise.”
"Ooo!! Cool!!" Melody exclaims.
"A little pissed that a completely fine situation has been ruined," Kade says.
Cole glares at Kade.
Kade looks at him with a frustrated grin.
“So Melody, what other things do you know about flowers?" Cole asks.
Melody immediately starts info dumping.
After a bit, Cole stops them politely. “You can tell me more about flowers later, but for now, it's time to go to the house.”
"Okie!" Melody says.
Cole points to the cabin door. "You can open the door if you want, all you have to do is use the key on the door.”
"Woah! Cool!!" Melody grins and uses her Envy key on the door, opening it!
It goes to Harmonia’s house and the group goes through, the door shutting behind them.
