Luna appears in the Baroness Mansion. "Hello Byleth, Baroness."
“Hello Luna,” says Flower Maiden, who gained the moniker Baroness of Hell.
“Hello!” Byleth says, “So nice to see you again.”
"Yeah.” Luna says with an air of annoyance. “Hey Maiden."
“Hey… how are you?” She replies.
Luna shrugs. "I'm... okay I guess?"
“I will give you two some privacy” Byleth says, leaving the room and allowing Luna and Maiden to speak freely.
“Thank you Byleth” Maiden says.
"Very umm... nice place?"
“Indeed”
"So uhh what did you need me for?"
“I… I just wanted to see you… the last person in the world to trust me” Maiden gives a fake smile “Thank for that… but self defense had to kick in”
Luna trades back a genuine smile. "It's fine. And I understand your point of view."
“I just wish things… could go back to the way they were Luna… I wish…”
"You still took a deal with Byleth." Luna says, sighing. "Was it worth it?"
“No…”
"You killed me. Was that worth it?"
“No…”
"And yet here you are... still with Byleth despite me giving you a chance to reconcile."
“I’m sorry… gods… I’m so stupid… he will kill me Luna if I leave…. Besides… I’m trapped here… I can’t leave…”
Luna closes her eyes, deep in thought. "...I understand."I'm sorry Maiden. I'm... really not sure if there's anything the Marked can do."
“I…. I know… I’ll just suffer here for eternity… I don’t think anything can be the same again even if I came back…”
"Well... you did help the Marked. You gave us the information to save Chris... though I apologize for how they... finished you off."
“Yea…”
"That's what Byleth does unfortunately. He seems to be more interested in the spectacle."
“Yea… it sounded like paradise when in reality it was hell… no pun intended…”
Luna still chuckles regardless. "It's true. This is... just something you'll have to live with."
“I know….” Maiden looks to Luna with sad eyes “There is something I want to give you”
Luna takes a deep breath, perhaps a bit scared. "What is it?"
Maiden looks around the house and find a vase
“This”
"And...what exactly is that?" Luna gulps, that vase looks like all kinds of a bad time.
“This vase holds Bucks ashes… and what was used to curse Nabu… maybe you have a burial or something or maybe find a way to reverse it.”
"...I-I see. I'm... not sure if I can possibly accept something like that though. No offense Maiden, but with Byleth around, I'm really trying not to take any chances."
“Oh… I’m sorry” Maiden sets it down on a shelf
Luna looks her directly in the eyes, trying to see if there's any sense of distrust. All she sees is sadness.
"...look. I'll talk to Nammu, see if maybe she can think of a way to use Buck's ashes to reverse... something. Until then, are you okay with keeping it safe?"
“Ok… I’m so sorry again… I just want my friends back… this was not worth it… I pray to the gods above I can be forgiven… I don’t care if I have to trial… I just want to be happy again…”
Luna pauses, looking thoughtful. “I know Maiden, I want you back too... you've always been kind to me... well aside from cursing and killing me, siccing Powderpuffs on me as well... but before all of that, you were someone i truly thought of as a friend. Just... keep praying to the Gods... that's the best thing I can tell you. Hopefully one of them, perhaps Nammu, perhaps Nabu if he's ever released from his mental prison..." A couple tears manage to escape Luna's eyes.
Maiden smiles back with tears running down her face as well “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry” Maiden breaks down crying
Luna opens her arms, trying to give Maiden a hug. Maiden hugs her back. Luna is warm, like a soft blanket. Fur certainly helps with that. "No matter what happens from here, even if you're commanded to kill or curse me further, I will never stop being your friend. This is something unbreakable. I will always... believe in you."
“Thanks… Moon.”
Upon hearing her old title, a dam bursts, her eyes spilling tears. "Of course, what are friends for Flower Maiden."
Maiden smiles.
Luna smiles back, releasing from the hug. "Anyway, I should probably head back before [the Kiss] thinks I died again. And remember, the Moon isn’t be right, but I'm always trying." Luna giggles at her terrible joke and then disappears returning to Harmonia’s house.
