[...]

Atop the dark, cozy trees of the outpost lies a certain treehouse.

Its structure is messy, paint all over, burnt wood here and there, etc.
That's where most of the alchemy of enaturalism happens.

Typically its only used for drug tests and stuff, but for the last few days, Clementine has had the lab reserved for them.
They've been testing with the sample of Dromen blood for a while, trying to protect themselves from getting sick but ultimately failing, but after a while it becomes pretty regular.
A long time later, lots of wasted paper and headaches and lung coughing, something a bit weird happens. It... changes color.
It turns a bit bright, a stark contrast from how it usually looks.

Clementine notices that they're not really getting too sick over it, there's still mild coughing but still, this is big.
Not really for drug usage but, in general.

They decide to stop research for now and shelve it for later. They grab a typical mason jar, pour the blood in, and label it simply as "source".

Lud knocks.

c: "You can just come in, you don't have to knock dude."

l: "I know, just courtesy, y'know? Anyways, whaddya want."

c: "Check this shit out."

They pull out the jar of source.

l: "Oh shit, you actually did something with the blood." He chuckles.

c: "Took a while and probably 40 years of my lifespan, but yeah. I'm calling it source. Start of something, y'know?"

l: "I'm not an idiot, Clem."

c: They chuckle. "I know you aren't. Now why don't you use that smart brain of yours to think of something we can test this with?"

l: "Uh..." He goes around the room, looking for a couple of notebooks of his. He finds one and rips a page out of it. "Here."

c: They grab the page and look over it. "Hm. Seems... doable? Gotta figure out how I'd implement it-"

l: "Renewable energy type thing?"
He interrupts Clem, and starts to write on a couple of other pages.
"If we can try to obtain some type of... energy from it, or anything really, we can probably use it as fuel for it."

c: "Yeah... I guess that would work. Uh, here's how I'll deal with it, you go and ask Mel to bring a new crucible, mine broke while doing this, and I... will test it out with some stuff."

Lud nods and leaves shortly after. Clem goes back to writing about it. Step one is over, now its just to figure out what the hell this does.
