The white opal sword in the living room begins humming.
"Uhhhhh... is it supposed to be doing that?" Luna asks.
"Hmm? Fuck if I know!" Cole looks over at the sword and unsheathes it a little so he can see the blade.
"Swords don't usually hum, so I'm gonna say no?" Spider adds
The colors are shifting as the weight shifts,
"Oooooo pretty!"
"Ohhh the weight is being fucky" Cole tries to see what end it's shifting to. All of the weight is going to the handle. Sparrow steps out from the hallway a bit hunched over and with a pale face before sprinting out the front door. Spider gets up muttering something as she heads outside.
"What the?" Luna heads outside chasing after Sparrow. Cole shrugs as he stands up and walks out to the front yard.

Sparrow runs out and hits the ground as she coughs. Luna and Spider walk out looking concerned as they see Sparrow hit the ground. They go to check on her.
"Sparrow?" Luna asks.
Theres a slight sound of static, and Sparrow keeps coughing. Something in the grass near the trees moves some. Theres a growing feeling of bad luck.
"...oh boy." Luna blinks and her sword and knives all appear attached to her. She goes to investigate the trees.
Spider looks over at the movement shaking her head as she returns her attention to Sparrow and keeping an eye on her. Cole steps out and stays on the porch as he keeps his head on a swivel. Theres a beeping sound coming from the trees as the static sound grows. Luna sees a glimpse of a wire moving in the grass like a snake. Sparrow is still coughing, having issues breathing.
"Hm, that's interesting." Luna tries to follow the wire's movements while defocusing on the loud static. Something sounding like a zipper plays 20 feet away and a wire tries to run towards Sparrow.
"Zipper." She tries to follow the sounds of zipping trying to find the source. Cole is watching the treeline while keeping his hand near the sword.
Spider notices the wire and moves closer to it attempting to grab it before it hits Sparrow. She grabs the wire. The end of it is a live wire that sparks some as it starts wrapping around her arm. The zip leads up to around 20 feet up and stops. Any electronics in the area would experience random glitching dark green squares. Mr. Blue Sky by Electronic Light Orchestra begins playing on an old speaker.
"...motherfucker. SHOW YOURSELF!" Luna shouts, trying to find whatever's responsible.
"Well then, I see this is a personal attack." Cole unsheathes the sword and readies to kill a bitch. Spider growls lightly but lets the wire wrap around her arm for now. 20 feet above, a large old tv screen cuts on, displaying a white screen with one small eye and long eyelashes.
"Ooooooooooh, I see you." Luna unsheathes her sword readying for a potential battle. It's the pink ichor claymore.
Any electronics in the area would start being taken over by green glitching squares, though it can be combated by antivirus. The pink claymore hums. The being shifts over out of the tree, its long neck has tangled red wires and leads into a distorting body that moves like a rolling shutter effect. It seems almost like it’s swimming or drifting.
Cole falls to one knee as he groans "Fucking....shit." The wire around Spider’s arm tries to stab into their arm. It works. She doesn't feel the stab but she definitely feels the electricity. She makes a sound that's halfway between a yelp and a snarl as she closes her eyes for a second taking a couple deep breaths.
"Sup." Luna enters a defensive stance, allowing the creature to make the first move. Oh and she notes the hum.
The eye on the screen closes as the zipper noise revs up, theres a gust of wind near Luna's right side. The wire on Spider continuously lets out electricity. Luna dodges left, getting away from the gust. Then she takes one of the throwing knives in her pouch and launches it towards the creature's neck. Sparrow collapses from the coughing.
Cole stands as he squints at the figure tightening his grip on the sword. He vaults the railing on the porch. "Who are you and why are you a fucking asshole?"
The knife is able to hit one wire that starts spewing warm red blood. Swinging across the area Luna was standing and barely missing her is a long arm with an open metal fan running and making a zipping sound. The screen is even affected by the rolling shutter effect as it turns to face Cole. The virus gets a little stronger as the opal sword and pink sword hums.
"Fucking hell, that would've hurt had that hit." Luna rushes in to try and slash at the creature's torso with her pink supermoon claymore.
Cole squints more as he groans. "Well I'm waiting for your fuckin response. Are you just not gonna say anything? Dumbass?" Arcs form across Cole's body as he stares at the figure.
Spider continues to take deep breaths, attempting to breathe through the pain, it's working for now.
Another wire tries to wrap Spider’s leg. On slashing at the torso, the blade begins going through a rolling shutter effect before returning to normal. Watching it she’s not not sure if she hit it or missed. Theres a gust of wind from above Luna as another screen cuts on near the other showing a small smile.
Luna blips backwards away from the gust and the potential metal fan.
"Do something to me, I fucking dare you." Cole steps closer to the figure as his arcs brighten.
The large metal fan slams on the ground where Luna was as the screen with the mouth silently mimicking the movement of laughter. It moves more in view. The being has three screens, one that remains off and various gold ornaments hanging off of it as if it were a form a royalty. The fan retreats behind it like an oversized tail. The screen with the eye opens and is dark green as it watches Cole. Spider opens her eyes just in time to see the wire and attempts to step on the end to stop it from wrapping around her leg.
"Fucking hell, this bitch is relentless.”
Spider starts to feel her arm movements turning more jittery
"Are you fucking scared? Hmm? Do something, I bet you it will lead to your downfall." Cole steps slightly closer to the figure as his eyes switch to pink with a slight glow of purple.
Luna launches a few more throwing knives at the Royal pain in the ass's neck. The knives cut through a few of the wires that are visibly pumping blood. They bleed as the screen with the mouth flicks upside down at Luna. The screen with the green eye is distracted by the hit and blinks back to a blank eye before looking over at Luna. The virus becomes easier to fight off. Spider’s arm jitters slightly as it also starts to partially glitch into green lines and back again, she takes another deep breath as she attempts to teleport out of the wire.
The teleport works as the wire falls to the ground and tries to lunge at Sparrow.
"For fucks sake" She takes a second to recover before a wave of green distortion flies towards the wire as she attempts to stop it in its tracks.
Luna grins, realizing she's doing damage to the creature. A couple more throwing knives at the neck! Keep breaking the wires!
Frost forms at Cole's feet as he keeps staring at the creature "I wonder if you’re afraid of the cold." Cole grins as the frost starts spreading towards the figure.
The static sound grows some as the frost spreads. the creature is focused on Luna as it dodges the knives. it looks ready to swing the fan tail again. the green distortion from Spider is seemingly absorbed by the wires as one wraps around Sparrows arm, the other going for Spiders leg again, now moving a bit faster. It begins playing the song Creature Only by Half Alive.
The frost reaches the creatures feet as the temperature around the creature drops to -30 degrees. “I don't really like static so I really hope this gets you to stop."
Luna's watching its movements, preparing to dodge the fan tail. Her focus is directly locked onto the King television thing. "Bring it." She rushes the creature, attempting to slash at its tail.
The rolling shutter affect seems to go faster as the frost reaches it, the static gets louder and the virus gets significantly harder to fight off. Lunas blade ripples past the tail in strange distortion as the fan is swung alot faster at her.
Luna tries to parry the fan with her sword! "Phase 2."
"Ohhhh you like the cold, yeah no fuck you." The frost melts as Cole's arcs get slightly brighter.
“Damnit" She growls as she attempts to grab the wire going for her.
The sword ripples just as it reaches the fans and the sharpened blades aim for Luna’s arm. The wire on Sparrow stabs into her. Spider grabs the wire going for herself in time.
Luna tries to blip out of the way before it connects.
Cole points at the figure and whispers "Bazinga." Then a fucking lighting bolt hits the figure.
Luna is able to get out of the way just in time as the being is struck by a bolt of lightning. Spider and Sparrow are hit with a fraction of the electricity from the lightning. The virus spikes, becoming cripplingly blinding and starting to give randomized signals for a couple minutes. A few of the red wires on its throat burst from the hit leaving three left. The tv screen with the mouth flickers as blood pours from the broken wires.
After blipping out of the way, Luna takes one of her other non-throwing knives, the blue hunting knife Spider bought her for Christmas to be exact, and tries to launch at one of the wires. "Attack the wires! It's the glowing and bleeding weakpoint!"
Cole falls limp then locks up as his arcs dissipate and his eyes flash random colors
Spider groans in pain from the electricity though she quickly recovers. "Yeah that would be grand if I wasn't being fucking electrocuted"
"Then I'll handle it. Just trust me!"
The wire Luna aims for is cut as the mouth screen turns solid blue and lowers some. A wire in the grass tries to wrap Coles arm. The wire Spider is holding tries to wrap her arm. Spider's keeping an eye on what Luna's doing so she lets it, taking a deep breath in anticipation. The screens are focused on Luna as she sees the fan ready to strike again. Luna continues to try and dodge away from the fan tail, making her way up one of the trees in the process to get up higher. Cole can do nothing about the wire.
The wire on Cole tries to stab into his arm, continuing the randomized signals whiles its in and attempting to drain power from him. The fan tail swings and strikes the tree as half the trunk is chipped off by the blow. The tree shifts to the side and is a hit away from falling over. Luna takes a deep breath and jumps down from the tree, slashing at the final two wires with her claymore. "JUMP SLASH!"
Cole's power is being taken.
The last two wires are torn as the being staggers with a decreasing ripple effect to the side. The last two screens turn into a blank green and red as all the screens lower a bit, the wire’s grips on everyone lessens. The being staggers more before falling over, cracking its screen as the screens flicker off and a few sparks fly from whats left of its neck. The power is still being drawn from Cole while the wire is in.
Luna rushes over to Cole and tries to cut the wire with the claymore, then does the same for Spider and Sparrow. The claymore does a weird ripple effect and doesn’t cut them.
Luna swaps to her marked broadsword and does the same for Cole's, trying to find a weakness for wires. Spider thinks for a second as the jade knife appears in her free hand as she attempts to cut the wire on her arm. The marked sword and the jade knife cuts the wires as the signals and draining stops.
Luna drops to her knees in exhaustion. Cole's eyes stop flashing random colors as his eyes settle to a soft flashing red. Spider pulls the cut wire off her arm and goes to cut the one on Sparrow. The wire is removed from Sparrow who remains unconscious.
Luna takes a deep breath before walking over to Spider to make sure they're okay. "Hey you guys alright over here?" She grins, but there's definitely a tired look to it.
"Sparrow’s out but I'm fine, you?" She sighs.
"Other than wanting to take a long nap, I had a lot of fun with this fight. And also... I think I have a feeling this is someone familiar. Mr. Blue Sky, Creature Only, royal looking ornaments on the screens." After saying that, Luna walks over to the being she just knocked the fuck out to examine its body, looking for anything eyecatching.
The body is slowly turning to blood.
"And it's becoming a puddle of blood. Sound familiar to you Spider?"
"Very." She growls lightly. Before it becomes liquid, Luna looks for any identifying information but comes up emptyhanded.
"Anyway, I think this is related to Jack. Everything we experienced here, minus the fan tail, was a Jovian Hall reference."
Cole eyes stop flashing red. Luna notices, especially after Max reported Cole was out of battery. "Hang on, I need to take Cole inside to charge him." Luna touches Cole on the side and they both disappear. Spider snaps her fingers and Sparrow and herself disappear reappearing in the guest bedroom.
