Harmonia and Orpheus are in a big fancy guest room in Thrall's castle. Harmonia looks up from her phone, over to Orpheus. "Orpheus?"
"What!!"
"Can I vent a little?"
"Sure."
"I..." She pauses, trying to think of how to word it. "I feel like i have to prove myself? And i dont... know how. Or even if its possible?"
"What?"
"Like... prove I'm not weak or a damsel in distress?" She sighs, running a hand through her hair. "I dont know..."
"I see I see I see!!!!!" Orpheus says, "Maybe you should start killing more."
She sighs. "I dont think it would make a difference... theres a reason why i havent really uh... been around my house much lately? Like... i know ive been targeted quite a bit and maybe ive just exhausted their empathy but you and Claire and Roxy and Kade are... different? Like despite everything you guys still seem to care..." She takes a deep breath. "I dont know."
"Oh you probably won't be able to fix that then."
"Why do you say that?" She asks, looking to him
"People don't really change, Harmonia. Like, alright that-" He sighs, facepalming. "That sounds shitty and pessimistic but it's true. Like, YEAH, you can CHANGE, but that's not going to make people look at you different! You could go through the biggest glow up in the whole world, right? Become the most badass and deadly person in the world, kill Abaddon yourself, and for what? It's not going to make them feel any different about you." He crosses his arms, taking a deep breath. "They know you, they won't unknow what they know about you. I stopped giving a shit about Spider, she CLEARLY still has something against me, I started giving a shit again. I was on Cole's side for a while, right? Then he kept fucking up. My opinion on him changed. That doesn't mean I HATE them. I'll just never look at them the same again. Now multiple that by, what? An extra 2 months? Maybe 3?...If that makes sense."
Harmonia nods. "I just... i dont know. I feel like they only see me as a burden. So i left."
"It does make sense. I honestly say don't go back. It's your house, but people move."
She turns to look at him, listening
"You aren't the person who used to live in that house anymore. You stopped calling the shots a LONG time ago. What's the point? Be happier, Harmonia. You don't owe others shit."
Harmonia smiles at him. "Thank you... I half wish you didnt even tell them i died. Probably just added to the 'harmonias an incompetent weak person' thing" She says with a sigh
"That Violet person would've ran her mouth anyway, so."
She sighs. "Yeah. got any wine?"
He tosses her a bottle. "You'd probably be happier if you started sparring with me, living with Claire, and stopped holding onto some of those ideas you've gotten depressed about before, I think."
Harmonia nods. "Sounds like a plan."
