Joseph entered his lab, immediately being hit with the unpleasant scent of cleaning supplies and metal. However, the scent was almost relieving! After his long trip, there wasn't anything better than being back at home, sweet home!

He dragged his big bag of luggage along with him, bringing it into the big elevator that brought him into the basement of his laboratory. As the floor numbers descended, so did the light, and the air, and well, just about everything had insanely decreased in quality. The basement of the lab was grimey and unorganized, smelt of rotting… something, and the air felt kind of damp. Surprising for a scientist to be able to work in such conditions, but there isn't any point in putting effort into decorations when it's all a secret.

Joseph pulled his bag over to a hard, cold, operation table, flicking on a big lamp that hung from overhead. The second he unzipped his bag, the room filled with the scent of death and blood. The bag was clearly stained with red on the inside, some stains looked extremely old, while some seemed like they could have appeared just today.

It took a lot of muscle to pull the new experiment out of the bag and set it onto the table. Most of the blood that was on the subject had dried up, but nonetheless Joey still had some on him now. He couldn't even pay mind to that, he was too captivated by the beautiful experiment he had laying out on that table. A huge grin spread across his face as he examined the almost perfect, western cowboy that was laying on the table. He was missing an eye, clearly because of the large bullet hole that went through to the back of his head. His right arm was mangled beyond recognition, and he had many other wounds on his body. He seemed like he had just crawled right out of the late 1800's, but he had very obviously only died recently. The fresher the body, the easier it was to toy with.

Joseph had to work quickly, so the body didn't get too difficult to work with. He rushed to grab his tools, and anything he needed to repair parts of the body. His current experiment set involved bringing the dead back to life by turning them into androids. It was a gory, messy, disgusting process, but it paid off in the end. He could use these androids as servants, keeping his laboratory clean, he could use them as test subjects in the outside world, and he could examine them in close quarters to make sure his engineering and wiring worked okay.

He didn't want there to ever be any cases of issues, whether an android began to remember its past life, or if it began to malfunction and disobey its creator. With all his tools beside him, he began to work on his new creation. Some skin would not be able to be reused, it was too damaged. He first began with taking out an old revolver bullet from the cowboy's eye wound, setting it on the table next to him. From there, he cut into the lifeless figure, quickly and somewhat carelessly pulling his organs from him. He was normally more precise, but excitement got the better of him this time.

This experiment was going to be his best, there would be no mistakes in its coding this time. He set the organs on a big plate, grabbing mechanical replacements for some, such as a brain, a heart, lungs. Only the simplest requirements, his androids needed to breathe, to think, and feel. However, their brains and hearts limited the amount that they could think and feel. It would be a disaster if they had somehow gained human emotions, so their brains and hearts were wired with only a specific set of thoughts and feelings.

Joey took a cleaver, hacking off the subject's right arm, which he had to replace with a completely mechanical one. He prefered his creations to look as human-like as possible, but with the cowboy's wounds it would be impossible to keep him entirely intact. Once he had properly secured the arm onto its body, he brought a smaller knife to the subject's face, cutting a neat, precise hole around his missing eye, covering it with a metal panel. There were smaller wounds here and there that he quickly patched up with scrap metal.

He rolled his swivel chair back, examining his current work, and processing what else he still had to do. After a few more moments of looking, he got up to grab a few more supplies. This experiment was a bit more special, he would serve more purpose, and be Joey's head assistant. Before its death, the cowboy showed great strengths and knowledge, the perfect subject to be at the top of the chain in the lab. He came back with his supplies, stuffing a few more mechanical parts into the android, tediously placing a layer of thin metal underneath every inch of skin,

and finally sewing his large incisions back up. Now, he pulled out his laptop, connecting a wire to a socket placed in the lower neck of the cowboy. He began his coding, loading data and information into the android's brain, filling his heart with pre-programmed emotions, allowing his lungs to work the same as a humans. Nearly every function in its body was similar to a human, minus a few parts here and there. His coding would be a little different than other androids that Joey had created, he got more knowledge, more features, and an improved interface.

Joey worked on his computer for a few more minutes, before confirming the coding, sending all the information and power to charge up the cowboy and bring him back to "life". With a great surge of power, the subject rose from the table, screaming out in pain and terror. Good thing Joey had his lab soundproof, or the screams would raise too much suspicion! Once the screams had died down, and the cowboy was simply frozen in horror, Joey greeted him with a large grin,

"Oh, good morning Subject 843! Welcome to the world!"
