Harmonia enters the Heart, looking around curiously. "Damn, I swear this wasnt here before..." She stands at 5'7, a humanoid female with long black hair, red bangs, red eyes, black goat horns, fluffy wolf ears, a fluffy wolf tail and big butterfly wings on her back. Her eyes glow faintly red as she examines her surroundings.
There was a deep clunking noise from under her. Whatever it was, it was alive. The concrete room with graffiti covered walls was humid. Small little ash particles blew around slowly in the air. Speaking of the air, its super thin. The metal bunker door creaked open and closed, allowing brief wedges of orange valley-light to get in. Upon closer inspection to the back portion of the room, there was a old coffee table. The surface was covered by a cloth, which was held down by two hefty looking candle sticks- and a goblet.
The whispers of the wind just outside the door were then suddenly dwarfed by a much, much louder sound. Off in the woods near by, there was a hungry creature. It lumbered about, standing at a decent 8 feet. It clopped about the valley floor on hooves. But now there was something new in the environment. It just remembered how hungry it was, letting out a deep howl into the trees.
Harmonia pauses, extending her claws. "I am so fucked." She heads to the bunker door, attempting to exit it and head outside, figuring that if shes going to be attacked, she doesnt want to get cornered.
The sky shimmered with deep purple clouds against an orange-creme colored sky. The trees waved with wind that was coming from a cold front off to the west. If you asked Max, temperature changes were way too frequent, and are bad for anemics. The hooved creature got down on all fours and began sprinting towards the edge of the clearing. Once it reached the edge, however, it stopped and watched. Maybe it was hunting. Maybe it was playing with it's food. Maybe, Just maybe... It was going to take a pass at the Elixir of Life.
She smiles and eyes the creature. "Got a soul, buddy?" Harmonia asks tauntingly as she approaches. She considered Greek mythology, how different heroes had beaten their monsters. Perhaps this was hers. It huffed, puffs of steam coming from it's nostrils, as it grinds its antlers against the door of an old car that had fallen in at some point. It had long, thin arms that came to four velociraptor-like claws. It dropped its jaw, letting out a horrendous screech different from the last. It seemed to resemble a type of war cry, because after it called out into the open space, it swiftly took off into the field with its arms open wide. It was headed straight for her.
She bends down, scooping dirt into her hands and grins, running at him and throwing the dirt into his eyes as she jumps, attempting to grab its antlers and pull herself onto the head of the monster. It roared as the dry dirt collided with it's lifeless grey eyes. It thrashed around, kicking up clouds of the dirt. It reached back, slashing at whatever it could reach. It screamed almost like a human for a second, but it cracked up and fell into a low gnashing growl. She holds onto the antlers and uses her other hand to plunge it into the monsters back, attempting to pull out its soul if it has one. Also she takes the slashes with pride!
It screamed again, but finally collapsing like a bundle of burning twigs. What's left of this disgrace's soul, is something similar to a rotten prune. Shriveled up, sticky, and very bitter. If squeezed, it would ooze through the cracks in her fingers. Once the being was deceased, the horizon lit up with red lightning. It flashed, rumbling at a very monotone frequency. There was a door in the middle of- hey... was that always there?
She raises an eyebrow, carelessly crushing the soul in her claws as she heads to the door. If the soul wasn't destroyed then she tosses it to the side and opens the door!
A flash of yellow distortion, and Harmonia's been teleported to the cell tower in Max's veil! Max kept sitting at the tower, a burning rage or something swelled inside of him. something was different this time. Soon, He's gonna become something that isnt necessarily human. Knowingness will grant him a higher position if he takes a valued life. He already knew who, but it was all about timing. Harmonia appears, covered in blood with several bleeding wounds. She stares at the sky, eyes widening at the sight of it's color.
Max stood at hearing Harmonia's appearance. It was like a ringing whenever someone crossed the bridge. He stood, shuffling into thr open cow pasture to find her. "Damn dude... what happened to you?"
"Fought a weird hooved fucker and now I'm in your world I assume?"
Max shrugs, "Yeah, I guess that's how it works. Those things are mean, huh?"
Harmonia nods. "I wonder if drinking my own blood would heal me..." She shrugs. "Probably not. Thats like. counter productive or something." Harmonia sits down, surveying the slashes as they stop bleeding, goopy soul gunk sitting like a scab instead.
"So, what'd you see while you were in there? Other than the main predatory species of fauna in there."
"Uh... like a bunker with a chalice and candles or some shit?"
Max nods, pulling out a small notepad. He checks the notes he copied from something he shouldn't. "You were in the core of the apple. The main cavern. The heart of argon. Some even go as far to say that the liquid in the chalice, can grant you a variety of neat lil' abilities-"
"Damn now I wish I drank it" She half-jokes with a slight smile
Max gets serious for a second though. "These powers, if fallen into the wrong hands, could mean another apocalypse deal."
She raises an eyebrow. "Wait.... if I had drank that do you think I could rival Abaddon??"
"I mean, it could alter a veil as you know it- but it doesn't make you a god." Max pauses for a moment. "Yeah, no- It makes you god. But its like, super influencial? Knowingness' prophecy says that one day-" Max then stops talking, holding an expression of shame. "Can't say anymore on that dudeski.. my bad."
Harmonia looks to Max. "I need to go back. If I could stop Abaddon...." Harmonia seems to be thinking, eyes flickering back and forth
This was how it usually went. Someone hears about it, they want it. "Well, you cant have it. Knowingness has a plan, and even though I don't know what it is, I have faith that what my god is saying is indeed true. It'll all unfold, dude." He giggled, rocking in the grass with some sort of sudden jovial vibe.
She looks to Max. "Max, you don't get it. Abaddon has killed millions! Itll kill more! If there's a way to stop it then we have to do it!"
Max's mood sways again. He's nervous, fidgeting as he listened to her speak. "Im sorry, but I cant go against what Knowingness has said. Id help you if i could, believe me. I mean, maybe? Part of me doesnt really care what Abbadon's doin..." He stands up. "Wanna go watch Jesse? I wanna film a... candid shot of him, or something."
Harmonia's shaking but nods. "Y-yeah why not..." Its clear the chalice is still on her mind. Max wanted to forget the chalice even existed. He stumbled upon it, and asked Knowingness. That was apparently the que to tell Max the big picture. The main quest. He teleported them to Jesse's room.
"Here we are-" Max whispered, pulling out his camera. Jesse's asleep.
"Damn while hes asleep?" Harmonia whispers back
Max turns the camera on, and hands it to Harmonia. "Yeah, thats... thats all apart of the uh... the whole Jesse experience.."
She points it at Max then to Jesse. "Have you ever been to therapy Maximus"
Max pulls out a joint, then starts rooting through the pair of jeans on the floor. He finds what he's looking for, a lighter. He lights the end of it, taking a hit before answering the question. "Well... No. Not as a serious thing. My mother had me go to some bull shit a year or so back. I took care of the plastic ass phony when Knowingness took me in." Jesse stirs in his sleep, dreamin dreams.
"I think you need psychological help to be honest, watching your crush while they sleep isnt exactly healthy," Harmonia says.
Max crouches next to him, letting out a sigh. "I know, I know... I just think of it as limited-time, relatively free form of protection? And I wouldn't say he's my crush. I love him like- like hes a very special homie, you know?"
"I think youre in denial to be honest." Harmonia sighs, filming them.
Max huffed, rolling his eyes. "Im not. He's just very special, especially to me- whether he knows it or not."
Harmonia points at him. "Gayboy."
"Not for Jesse- No, maybe for Jesse. I dont know, its complicated." Max hits the joint, extending his arm towards Harmonia. "Smokey Tokey?"
"Yesss," She takes it and hits it befire handing it back. "Thanks man"
