Melody is walking in the woods, holding a new sanrio themed crossbow shed summoned from her room. She wanted to test it out! She stalks the woods, looking for animals. In the distance, she can see what looks to be a person. They appear to be scratching at the ground, making... some kind of noise? It sounds like a mix between sobs and growls. She approaches, quiet like a real deer as she draws the bow back. The person stands up in shaky, unnatural movements. They're holding what looks like a combat knife. They're wearing a hoodie, ripped jeans, boots, and what looks like a scuffed mask.
Melody's ears begin to ring as the poppy conection is severed for the time being. She yelps in pain but doesnt let go of her bow, backing up from the person. The fucker starts sprinting at her, making strange, animalistic noises.
"OH FUCK-" She yelps and tries to shoot it with her crossbow! It takes the arrow, being knocked back slightly. However it continues on, attempting to slice at Melody. It trips her and she screams, trying to smack it with the crossbow as it slashes at her arms and stomach. Ouch. As its going at her though, a blinding white light emanates from her wounds, healing them and temporarily stunning her attacker.
The proxy continues to hack and slash at Melody, before some kind of... smoke? fills the air. It's a light brownish green. The proxy seems scared out of its mind, and runs away. The spores still fill the air, although they don't affect Melody. The wounds heal but she whimpers in fear and pain, standing up and looking around for the cause.
In the trees, around where a circle of mushrooms is, Melody can see a pair of glowing green eyes.
She tilts her head and looks at the eyes, approaching a little bit. "Hello?"
The air clears, and Melody can see a blond man in a tuxedo and gloves.
"You. Wanna tell me where you got that uhh.." he gestures towards her scars. "That."
"The... um... monster thing..." She says, pointing where it went off to
"Not the scars themselves. The ability to heal that quick, and the attributes of the scars."
"Oh..." She looks at them. "I dunno..." Melody looks like shes close to crying but is trying not too!
Apostle steps closer, "You know someone by the name of Sorath?"
She nods. "Mhm-" Melody steps back one and fixes her lily crown on her head.
Apostle walks closer to Melody. "You tell that fucker we need her back next time you see her. She can't ditch like that. Tell her to meet me at the lake. She'll know."
"I dont even know who you are-" She keeps the crossbow at him, stepping back from him fearfully.
Apostle takes off his mask, revealing a mouth that appears to have the lips cut off, exposing the gums. He has sharp, sharp teeth. Two holes in his cheeks revealing more teeth.
"Let's keep it that way."
His mouth doesn't move when he speaks.
He puts his mask back on and laughs, walking back into the woods.
Melody squeaks and runs back towards the house. "Asphodel!"
